It’s that time again — finally! The season when we can all come out from hiding behind heavy coats, put away the snow shovels, and break out the sunnies. It’s also the perfect season for wine tasting with your girls on a cool Saturday afternoon.

I met up with some of my fellow bloggers (more on these ladies below!) last weekend to do just that at The Winery at Bull Run.

I am more than familiar with the Northern Virginia winery scene (heh heh) and this winery is one of my top 5. The sprawling grounds are perfectly family-friendly with plenty of seating to go around. The wine is delicious, the tasting room is large enough to accommodate more than four people and there are great food options.

The winery was gracious enough to let us have a preview of their soon-to-be-released rosé. It was fabulous! Not too sweet, not too dry. I’m already planning on grabbing a few bottles to stash in my fridge for a lazy Sunday, decompressing after the daily D.C. commute or…toddlers.

The rosé will be released next Friday, April 28, at the winery’s Friday Night Flights event from 7 to 8:30 p.m. (You’re adding this to your calendar, right??)

While you’re making plans, go follow these ladies and check out their fun and beautiful blogs: Kristen at Swann Street Style, Courtney at Currently Courtney, Katie at Pushing Paper, Nicole at The Leopard Coat, and Christina at Scopes. A #blogsquad at its best.

Now onto the crucial element of a successful winery visit: what to wear?? This question is much harder to answer when you’re headed out with friends versus hanging out with a husband in tow and a toddler on your hip.

Here’s what I wore to the winery last weekend. And yes, white denim. If life isn’t a risky-live-dangerously kind of adventure than what is it?

Anything white is hard to shop for. But after searching through high-end and lower-end brands, I finally found my perfect pair at Banana Republic. Be sure to stop by — they’re having a 40% off sale now that’s amazing. More outfit options below!
